Schwarzblut

Schwarzblut (full name: Die goetheanistische Tonkunstgesellschaft Schwarzblut) is a Gesamstkunstwerk. A collective work of art, based on historic German poetry and carried by organic-electronic music. Schwarzblut’s work is outlined by a haunting visual context of imagery in their album artwork and during live shows. Each Schwarzblut release is a group effort, including the arts of composing, poetry, fashion, photography, video and design. Each Schwarzblut live show too is a performance featuring these ingredients.

The group was founded in 2007 and signed with Alfa Matrix in 2009. Through Alfa Matrix the band released the EP ‘Sehlenwolf’ (2009), their debut album ‘Das Mausoleum’ (2010) and their sophomore full-length release ’Maschinenwesen’ (2012). Early 2014 Schwarzblut returned to the scene with the 5-track EP ‘Bis aufs Blut’, an appetiser for their 3rd full-length album ‘Gebeyn aller Verdammten’. This 10 track upbeat album is full of raw synths combined with film score-like orchestrations. Out April 26th 2014 on Alfa Matrix.

Schwarzblut is well known for their energetic and visual live performances including live drums, bass, percussion, video art, male and female vocalists and a host of electronic instruments. The band shared bills with Diorama (D), Faith & The Muse (USA), Gothminister (NO), Sigue Sigue Sputnik (UK), Absolute Body Control (B) and many others.

First headliner known!

Our first headliner is known: Schwarzblut!

Last year this Dutch steampunk EBM band got everyone dancing and jumping as final act of EmporiumVernesque. This year, they’ll guarantee a big party, with poetic texts, good beats en compelling visuals.

Biography:
Schwarzblut is a 5-piece band who blend romantic melancholic Weimar poetry with danceable dark electronic music. An eclectic style diversity that accentuates a beautiful duality between male and female vocalists. The band was founded in 2007 and signed with Alfa Matrix in 2009. Through Alfa Matrix the band released the EP ‘Sehlenwolf’ (2009) and their full-length debut ‘Das Mausoleum’ (2010). In 2012 Schwarzblut released their second full-length album ‘Maschinenwesen’. On this album the band explores German poetry from the age of industrial revolution in word, sound and visuals. Schwarzblut surprises the listener by mixing pounding electro rhythms with dark romanticism and German lyrical poetry. Their music is strongly recommended for fans of German speaking dark artists from GoethesErben to Das Ich to Blutengel, Plastic Noise Experience and Heimataerde. Schwarzblut is well known for their energetic live performances including live drums, bass, electronic percussion, video art, male and female vocalists and a shipload of electronics. The band shared bills with Diorama (D), Faith & The Muse (USA), Gothminister (NO), SigueSigue Sputnik (UK), Absolute Body Control (B) and many others.

Emporium Vernesque 2012 a huge success!

After months of preparation with some thresholds and obstacles but also with a lot of fun we’re a bit lost since November 11th. Suddenly the stress and preparation is over, the first edition of Emporium Vernesque is a fact and it was a huge success! We’re overwhelmed by the positive comments, the happy faces and the enormous amount of photos and video material!

A honest thank you to all awesome visitors for participating to (what we think is) one of the best events of the year! Next to that we’re very thankful for all special, musical, enthusiastic acts who were willing to take a risk at this new festival and offer our visitors a complete and diverse program and therefore a very successful line-up! And of course our fantastic and hard working group of volunteers: helping out at a new and unknown event and being as crazy as we are: without you Emporium Vernesque would not exist!

In the coming weeks we will add links to various photo and video material on our website and of course we will start with preparations to organize a second edition of Emporium Vernesque in 2013 which will be at least as much fun as the 2012 edition. Will we be seeing you again?
